A BEAUTIFUL AND OLD TRADITION IN ITALY NOW SET TO BECOME A NEW AND UNIQUE DINING EXPERIENCE IN LEEDS!
Every Friday in the Salumeria, for lovers of ‘Italia Bella’, we offer a classic Italian dining experience, enjoyed by people all over Italy every day.
This is a wonderful way to relax with family and friends as our chefs create a true and well balanced Italian menu for you to enjoy. The only thing you have to decide is whether to drink our specially chosen wine recommendation, an ice cold artisan beer or choose from our wine list.
Our regular customers often tell us they feel they are back in Italy on holiday!

THE MAGIC OF MUSHROOMS

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Have you ever wanted to pick your own mushrooms but haven’t got the confidence or unsure of which ones are edible, tasty or harmful? We have an expert on hand, Craig Worrall, to guide us through an autumn fungi foraging foray.

WHATS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

You will meet at 11am for  a  3 – 4 hour fungi foray at a secret location.  We will look at a range of edible, medicinal, bizarre, beautiful and toxic wild fungi.

After the foraging you will have the chance to go home and get changed before reconvening at Salvo’s at 6pm where a 3 course wild mushroom supper will be served

Ticket includes walk and dinner.  (Your own transport is required to reach the location.)

All about preserving!  Before the advent of fridges, freezers, tins or preservatives, how would you have preserved ingriedients for longer storage?  This workshop will focus on various techniques employed globally to preserve food.  We will even step back in time to a period before sugar imports came to the UK shores.  Interesting and stimulating with tasters and a practical demo.
