Neapolitan bean stew with greens,extra virgin olive oil and chilli pepper

PACCHERI ALLA GENOVESE

Large pasta with classic Neapolitan beef sauce. With grated caciocavallo, a semi cured cows milk cheese. The sauce was originally made by cooks from Genoa in the eating houses around the docks of Naples for the Genovese sailors, renowned as the finest in Italy. Now a Neapolitain classic though you would never get this in Genoa!

Ancient and traditional pie with durum grain , ricotta & ‘1000 flower water’

A chocolate dip, traditionally made with a freshly killed pigs’ blood and lard ; we substituted with red wine and a dash of cream, served with Pam’s lemon biscotti

CAFFE CON PASTE SECCO

Traditional little twirly almond cakes with a red or green cherry

The jewel that is Capri, sophisticated Positano and fun loving Sorrento, smouldering Vesuvius brooding over the proud and ancient ruins of Pompeii, the best pizza on the planet and pasta so al dente it stands up to attention! Fish and vegetables as fresh as can be, they shine and shimmer even when you bring them in from the brilliant Mediterranean sun. See Naples and die.

These are some of the things Campania brings to mind and our 10 course tasting menu reflects all these beautiful facets of the region in one memorable dinner!

The menu features classic Neapolitan dishes with recipes for bean stews and stuffed vegetables passed down from our mother Mamma Nunzia, Zia Pina's Ragu and Baccala recipes and one of Dads favourite salads-twice baked bread and tomatoes, an old classic of Southern 'Cucina povera', all true to the spirit of the region.
