THERE'S AN ART TO MAKING A PIZZA - Louise Male

Yorkshire Evening Post 3rd February 2005

Leeds restaurant Salvo's has added to its continental atmosphere with a new range of artwork.

The images range from a depiction of Italian icon Sophia Loren to Venetian gondolas and pop art Lambrettas. All the work was produced by second year A-Level students from Leeds Grammar School. Working to a brief from co-owner Gip Dammone, the seven students created an image based on the theme of Italy.

All the paintings on display at the restaurant, on Otley Road, Headingley, are for sale. Then paintings will be sold to the highest bidder by the end of the exhibition period on April 30.

More information is available at Salvo's or on the school's web site.
