ITALIAN DISH RASIES £261 FOR PATIENTS

Yorkshire Evening Post 16th January 2006

Hospice staff tried out a classic Italian dish which helped raise £261 to help care for patients. Salvo's Restaurant in Headingley collected the cash for nearby Wheatfields Hospice by adding a special dish, Pasta Casalingha, to it's menu. For each order of the lasagne dish with Neopolitan sausage, mozzarella and tomato sauce, 50p went to the hospice run by Sue Ryder Care. And three nurses, the Hospice Manager, bereavement services co–ordinator and occupational therapist tasted the dish when Salvo's co-owner John Dammone visisted to hand over the cash. He said they served 522 portions since autumn.
