GLUTEN FREE? GO ITALIAN

Yorkshire Evening Post 20th May 2006

A Leeds restaurant has unveiled a new gluten free menu during Coeliac Awareness Week. Salvo's in Headingley has developed the dishes - which include gluten free pasta specially imported from Italy - in time for the awareness week which ends on Sunday. It is estimated one in 100 people suffer from Coeliac disease, which means gluten triggers the body to produce antibodies to attack itself, and the majority are unaware they have the condition.
