Get you hands on your very own World Cup at a charity auction.
Leeds Italian restaurant Salvo’s is auctioning a jeroboam of wine shaped like the Fifa World Cup Trophy pictured.
Proceeds from the sale of the bottle, which contains the equivalent of four bottles of 1990 vintage Barbera wine, go towards an appeal to send four year old autistic youngster, Thiago Taylor to the US for specialist treatment. Salvo’s co-owner Gip Dammone is a friend of Thiago’s father. Mr Dammone said “ We procured the bottle before the 1990 Mondiale to toast Italia when they won the cup but unfortunately it never happened”. The winning bidder will be presented with their won World Cup on Saturday, the day before the real cup final.
